Vance and I arrived safely in Argentina yesterday and are settling in with our hosts Gustavo, Carina and Catalina Somoza. Catalina, a charming six year old, has agreed to teach us Spanish in her free time.
We are staying is Chascomus which is a town of about 40,000 on a large lake about 1 ½ hours south west of Buenos Aries. http://www.chascomus.gov.ar/. The weather is very spring like with the leaves just starting to bud.

Nearly in Argentina
We are getting ready for 3 months in Argentina. Lesley will be busy birding in Tierra del Fuego and winetasting in Mendoza. Vance will be ion sabbatical in Chascomus working with El mono Somoza on fish reproduction research. More later.
