Vance and I arrived safely in Argentina yesterday and are settling in with our hosts Gustavo, Carina and Catalina Somoza. Catalina, a charming six year old, has agreed to teach us Spanish in her free time.
We are staying is Chascomus which is a town of about 40,000 on a large lake about 1 ½ hours south west of Buenos Aries. http://www.chascomus.gov.ar/. The weather is very spring like with the leaves just starting to bud.

Ola,
So glad to hear you guys arrived safely!
I'm going to use Google Maps to check out your location in detail. Try to refer to natural areas you visit by name and location in your blog so I can locate the details on the satellite overlay.
Look forward to pix!! Maybe set that new Sony to RAW so you have the best material to work with when you get back? Also, set the LCD display to 'histogram' mode so you can see the exposure curve after taking a shot. Underexposure is way better than blown highlights because you can increase exposure in post-processing but you can never create detail that's lost when an image is overexposed.
Cheers,
Chris
